A beautiful hotel in Newar style, mindful of tradition and environmental protection. Everything is sustainable. The staff are very nice, the location is in Thamel but away from the bustle, so it’s very quiet. There’s a yoga program on the rooftop.

The staff were courteous and attentive, the whole house felt charmingly old with surprises everywhere and a clear eco‑friendly vibe; I joined the 8‑9 am yoga class and learned a lot thanks to the patient instructor, and the breakfast server checked if the food suited my taste, while I enjoyed a leisurely meal by the window watching time drift by.

The place is old but still has charm, with accurate details and a beautiful garden that feels like an oasis of peace; the restaurant is good and the yoga sessions are a big plus. Still, the eco‑initiatives feel a bit over the top for me, the comfort is quite basic, and I’d suggest fixing the bathrooms and swapping out the mattresses, pillows, and blankets.

The hotel’s architecture really impressed me, and the room was comfortable, clean, and well designed; we got the vibe of the eco‑friendly concept, especially the water‑saving practices. The morning yoga lesson was relaxing, the breakfast was delicious, and every staff member was kind—thanks for all the support!
