Ended up staying at this place near Aliyar Dam, which wasn't what I was looking for in Valparai. The property didn't seem worth the money we paid, and the toilets were pretty dirty. Not a great experience overall.

The surroundings are pretty, and it's conveniently located near where I needed to go. However, I was put off by the pool area - there were a bunch of guys playing like they had the place to themselves, and the music was blasting. It was a bit much, to be honest.

This place was amazing - staff were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was really good too, with lots of options. Room was clean and comfy, but felt a bit pricey compared to other places.
