The Waldhotel und Restaurant sits a bit outside Rangsdorf on a busy road, yet inside the hotel it remains fairly quiet. With only about six rooms, the property is a bit dated. The rooms are clean and come with TV, Wi‑Lan, a kettle and a Foen, but there’s no room safe. A wardrobe and a desk are provided, and all guests can use the fridge on the hallway. The breakfast, however, isn’t great; there are several types of sausage, but they’re more like discount store fare than a butcher’s quality, and the jam comes in small portions. Nutella is available, as is a boiled egg and orange juice. Each person gets three plain rolls, but no bread and no variety. On the bright side, the coffee and specialty coffees are good.
