You really can't go wrong here; Eric was so welcoming and let us in early after a long motorcycle ride, and once behind his gates it feels like a tranquil paradise with generous homemade breakfast items like jam and yogurt, and a short walk to town and the castle. This was one of the best B&Bs on our 14‑day trip, but I must mention the lack of drink‑making facilities in the room—unusually for this type of accommodation, there was none, and I like a hot drink or two when I wake up.

The house was beautiful and full of character, and the breakfast was amazing with a huge selection of local and homemade goodies, though the staircase is quite steep even though there are rooms on the ground floor.
