“Disappointing stay overall- cold, not a very good choice for families with kids”

The rooms were large and tidy. The reception tried hard to be polite. As someone who lives in Auckland CBD, I regret not doing more research before booking – it’s more of a hostel‑style place, not ideal for kids. When I got there, they asked for ID and a $70 card hold for damage, which surprised me. The room was very cold and the bedding was light. I asked for a heater, but it didn’t help much. A loud fan or ventilation system in the building made it hard to sleep, and I woke up with a blocked nose. I wouldn’t recommend this for families with children; it might suit backpackers or those looking for hostel‑style lodging, but it wasn’t right for us.

“Practical could ve much better”

The location was practical. The common areas were very dirty, and the lounge sofas were all torn up.

The spot was good, it was basic but had everything you needed. Good value for money, and they were kind enough to fix an error I made when I first booked. It was exactly what I paid for.

The location was great and the staff were super attentive and flexible, yet the bathrooms weren't as clean as one would expect, the bed was uncomfortable, and having to use a card to access any facility was annoying.
