Everything was great; the property is simply stunning. A very warm welcome, the included breakfast was a nice bonus, the bed was very comfortable, and we slept soundly. I couldn’t fault this place at all. No negatives.

The owners were charming, and the spot right next to the college is superb—quiet, with free parking nearby.

The owners welcomed us warmly, and the old property was stunning, giving us a real sense of stepping back in time; everything was top quality and spotless.

The location was great and the suite roomy, with hosts who were pleasant and a mini‑fridge that kept water handy. We’d have liked fresh bread instead of dry toast and rusks for breakfast, the church bells were loud, and there weren’t many convenient sockets for charging phones.

It’s a unique chance to stay in a house‑museum; the space is private with two rooms and a living room that doesn’t involve the hosts. You have a fridge, kettle, and coffee maker. The floors are stone or wood, and the room is spacious and very clean. It sits on the town square and the window offers an amazing view of the collegiate church (the bells don’t ring at night). The hosts are great, cheerful, and discreet. The French‑style breakfast offered a choice, though we didn’t eat the pastries and they were put out for take‑away. New, minimalist stays like this are rare. The bed is short and not very comfortable; with a headboard and footboard, tall people can’t fit and must curl up. I understand it’s a classic bed and comes with those dimensions.
