The place wasn’t hygienic, it could have been cleaned earlier! The bedding was clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable.

We chose this place because of the blue hiking routes and wanted easy access to our starting points. The host was friendly and I have no complaints about their personality. However, the listing didn’t specify that two rooms share a common bathroom and a shared toilet, while the third room has its own bathroom. I don’t consider myself a picky person, but we had these observations because the value didn’t match the price. I’ve never written a negative review for a place before. The shared kitchenette on the floor was hard to use effectively. The microwave didn’t always heat food. The kettle was so limescale‑covered that we didn’t even try to use it. In the shared toilet and bathroom there was no heating at all. The radiators in the rooms also didn’t work properly, so we had to rely on the air conditioner for heat. Since we were hiking in the rain, drying clothes was not easy; my boots only dried at home. In the room with its own bathroom we tried to heat the bath with the air conditioner, which luckily worked within the family. In the shared bathroom we couldn’t get hot water at the sink. The host offered the large communal kitchen downstairs for use, which was a bit annoying because he also used it, so we didn’t want to disturb him. I noticed the kitchen was even colder, so we avoided staying there. The oven’s slightly burnt little pastries helped a bit with the discomfort. I’ve seen better cleanliness elsewhere. I found it odd that the rooms were so furnished, as if children could arrive at any moment. The bathroom had a lot of pipes, and the wardrobe in the room had clothes.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The blue hiking starting point was convenient because it’s close to Boldogkővár.
