“Great spot. Liked the town. Enjoyed the stay.”

We appreciated the historic building, the fabric shop, and the hotel itself; the beds and bathroom were great, and we could grab coffee in the morning; parking and access to downtown Waunakee were excellent, and we loved the book on the building’s restoration; overall a great spot. The only issues were the steps to the second‑floor rooms, a wobbling toilet seat that tightening didn’t fix, and the half‑and‑half that curdled in the coffee.

“Very good location”

The location was spot‑on for what we needed, the building was clean, open, and cozy, and the breakfast restaurant was outstanding. The only downside was the beds being very hard and the keyless entry being a bit confusing and touchy at first, but otherwise the stay was very nice.

Self‑check‑in worked and the location was fine, but the drapes didn’t fully cover the windows, the bathroom blind was tied so it couldn’t be lowered completely, and someone had left French fries in the refrigerator’s freezer compartment that hadn’t been cleaned out. A mirror over the desk near the plug and light would have been perfect for hair and makeup.

“Great location. Friendly staff. Well appointed units. We recommend this establishment.”

We were in town to visit friends, and the keyless entry and electronic communication were very detailed; the rooms were spacious for our group, and the town is quaint, with units above the coffee shop adding a nice touch. The amenities were well appointed with clean lines and basic décor, and the unit was clean and stocked with everything we needed for a short visit. The only problem was the train line right next to the property that blew its horn in the middle of the night, waking us up; we expected one at 11:00 p.m. but didn’t anticipate another loud train later.
