Budaya Kaki Rinjani

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice. They washed some of my clothes after my Rinjani trip, but they smelled like cow poo for two days. The water jug in the room had ants, the bed was uncomfortable, the facilities were basic and surrounded by cow poo. Only come here if you have a car to drive back to the village for decent food.

You don’t stay here for comfort; you come for the experience. The family is very welcoming and kind. They have ceremonies starting in September—a unique chance to immerse yourself in the locals’ lifestyle.

We stayed 2 nights and we’re thrilled with this simple immersion in a typical Indonesian village family. Lots of sharing and smiles. Good breakfasts and meals. They also let us rent a scooter very easily and gave great tips for trekking Rinjani and nearby waterfalls. A big thank you for your hospitality!

We had an amazing experience at this place. If you want to live a real local experience, see how the people in the area live, their traditions, food, etc., it’s a must‑stop. We spent great days with the whole family and the village kids, the food was delicious. Many thanks.

A truly local spot with a lovely family; everything is local, so don’t expect a private bathroom with a modern shower, but it’s a quiet, lovely place with great people. They don’t speak good English but we still managed to communicate, and I learned some Indonesian words and played with the kids.
