“Tolle Auszeit!”
It was a unique place in a superb natural setting, perfect for a relaxing break, and we quickly got used to the boat’s layout; it was our first stay on a boat and a fun, adventurous experience.

The location is perfect, right on the water’s edge, and the view over Scharmützel Lake is amazing.

The boat is truly beautiful and luxuriously equipped, set in a very quiet side bay, yet Bad Saarow is still within walking distance. Right outside the door is a great garden spot called “Freilicht.” Cooking on the boat is also very convenient—everything you need is there, and even coffee was available when I forgot mine, which I really appreciated. Owner Jörn is a very relaxed, friendly host, always reachable and quick to respond. When I checked in, I discovered the boat I had booked was not clean, so he immediately offered another boat, or a houseboat, as an alternative. I chose the other boat, which had no clear view but was identical in build. As a “compensation,” he offered a cruise on the lake and a complimentary cocktail, which was excellent. The only downside was that I couldn’t use the Wi‑L.

The yacht sits in a prime spot on Scharmützelsee.

We loved the boat – it came fully equipped with dish soap, towels, cleaning cloths, bedding, a kettle, microwave, gas stove, fridge with freezer, everything we needed. The location was quiet and secure, with a gated dock and about ten other rental boats nearby. The kids’ highlight was the two stand‑up paddle boards that were free to use when available, and a swimming area with a kiosk and restaurant was just 150 m away, great for non‑swimmers too. Our contacts Jörn Fahlisch and Adnan were extremely friendly and helpful – many thanks! A ride on the Amavida was also possible, though our children preferred to swim. One suggestion for the owners (not a complaint): during the briefing, show us how to secure the rain cover. We managed to close the snap‑buttons but couldn’t reopen them, which was a bit tricky.
