The place was close to shops and wineries and the bed was comfortable. However, there was a long dark hair from a previous traveller in the shower, definitely mine as I’m a very pale blonde. Daddy long leg spiders were throughout the unit. I loved seeing the chickens and ducks but had to be very careful where you stepped or rolled your luggage to avoid all the poo, and there was no luggage rack.

Easy to locate, just a stone's throw from shops and restaurants, and surprisingly quiet for a town spot; the grounds were lively with birds and other animals to watch, though the TV streaming would sometimes cut out, which didn’t bother me since I only used it for background music.

The place was spacious with a lovely garden, and the host replied quickly to messages; the bed was very comfortable. The cottage had a full kitchen, but it was only basic; when I asked for items like salt, pepper, and a spare toilet roll, the host supplied them, though the amenities weren’t replenished. Wifi worked intermittently even with an extender. We asked for a late check‑out, which the host agreed to, yet the cleaner arrived early. The cleaning could have been better in some spots. Overall a good spot, just missing a bit of polish.
