The place feels super modern, and the pool with a view of Bali is something you could spend HOURS in! The restaurant is outstanding, and you can get a late checkout from 12 to 13 for free, then 13 to 14 and so on for 120000IDR each hour. The location is perfect for picking up the ijen. The only downside was that the bathroom door in the room was more of a glass partition than a real door, so privacy was limited when needed.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Dialoog Banyuwangi. The hotel is beautiful, the food is outstanding, and above all, the staff are simply fantastic. Everyone is incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely willing to help. You immediately feel welcome here. A special compliment to the reception team. You can literally ask them anything, and they are always ready to help and find a solution. The fact that the reception is available 24/7 is a huge plus and gives you a real sense of comfort and security. And the food is amazing. The quality, flavours and presentation were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had at the hotel. Definitely something worth mentioning and one of the highlights of our stay. There is, however, one point that is important for travellers like us to mention. We personally place a very high value on peace, privacy and being able to enjoy our surroundings without constantly being photographed or filmed. During our time in Banyuwangi, we noticed that many local people, as well as visitors from neighbouring countries, are extremely focused on social media. Everywhere we went, people seemed to be taking photos and videos, often with semi-professional cameras, tripods and other equipment. We experienced the same thing during dinner at the hotel. Some guests were busy creating content throughout the meal, including going live on social media with their phones mounted on tripods next to the table. Of course, everyone is free to enjoy social media however they wish, but for us personally, this takes away from the peaceful and private atmosphere we value when having dinner or relaxing. We want to stress that this is not really a criticism of Hotel Dialoog itself. The hotel and its staff are wonderful. It is more something that travellers who, like us, highly value privacy and tranquillity should be aware of when visiting Banyuwangi. Despite this, we look back on our stay with great pleasure. The wonderful staff, excellent service, fantastic food and beautiful property make Hotel Dialoog a place we would happily recommend

The hotel offers a stunning view, and it’s worth getting up early to catch the sunrise. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We could, however, hear the mosque’s prayer call clearly from our room, which might disturb light sleepers.

“Beautiful Location, but the Stay Fell Short”

The grounds are beautiful and the ocean views are absolutely stunning. The property itself sits in a gorgeous location and has so much potential. Dinner at the restaurant was really good and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. After a seven‑hour train journey, we were eager to sit at the bar overlooking the ocean and enjoy a few cocktails, but when we arrived we were told all spirits had been sold out, so no cocktails were available, which was pretty disappointing. The room also let us down: the rooms aren’t well sound‑proofed, and a green light flashed constantly throughout the night. The pillows were extremely high and uncomfortable, so we barely slept and woke up with sore necks. There were also cleanliness issues—our sheets had a blood stain and black hairs, which weren’t ours since we both have fair hair. The shower ran out of hot water quickly, forcing me to finish washing my hair under cold water. Breakfast was okay, but much of the food was left uncovered with flies, and the breads and pastries tasted stale. Overall, it’s a shame because the property itself is beautiful, but the cleanliness, lack of sleep, breakfast quality, and other problems made the stay disappointing.
