“Our stay”
Central to everything in town, the food was great—dinner one night and breakfast the next morning were really lovely. The staff were lovely, and we would stay here again. We tried the steak deal that included two sides for two people, but the portion of fries for one person was very small, let alone sharing with another. The onion rings we chose were lovely; this was the first night running the deal, so perhaps it’s evolving. The bathroom door kept catching on the floor when opened and made a lot of noise; shaving the bottom of the door would fix it easily. Our room was extremely warm; the window opened onto a flat roof, so we were nervous to leave it open at night. A safety latch or similar would have made it feel more secure to keep it open for cooling. Despite that, we would stay again. We were nervous about car parking, especially with an electric car, but the fast charger at the local petrol station solved that quickly, and because our stay was off‑peak, street parking was free.
