The pyramids view hotel

We appreciated the staff’s availability on site and their pre-arrival contact to make it easy for us to find each other. The location is ideal, just a few meters from the pyramids, yet somewhat removed from the bustle. However, the hotel’s name had changed from The Pyramids View Hotel to Ghazala Pyramids View, making it hard to locate since nothing outside indicated the new name. The breakfast view was exceptional, but the menu—fries, bread, croissants—was mediocre, lacking hot or cold drinks and unbalanced. When we entered the room, there was a sewage smell in the bathroom.

“Emplacement bien pour le site de Gizeh”

The rooftop view at Giza was magnificent, with a stunning sunset, and breakfast was served there and was impeccable. The hotel’s location and access were very difficult by taxi; we arrived at the wrong hotel in the middle of the night and it was hard to find the right one because it was poorly signposted. The mattresses seem to have been out of service for years. Because we’re not used to noise, it was very hard to sleep.

Mohammed provided excellent welcome and service. The hotel is well‑situated, close to shops and the entrance to the Pyramids. The rooms are functional, though they didn’t match the photos. One bathroom had drainage problems and seepage from the floor, leaving it wet and smelling of sewage even after wiping. In the other bathroom, the toilet stayed wet after the shower because there was no protection. The rooftop with a view of the Pyramids is the same as the neighboring hotel, but we were able to access it without issue. Breakfast was served from 8:00 am, but our scheduled excursion appointments were at 7:00 am, so we never had breakfast on the rooftop. The bedding quality was inconsistent.
