“Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Hotel should be closed immediately due to safely hazards and guests.”
HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! This was, without question, one of the most disturbing hotel experiences I have ever encountered. From the moment I entered the front desk/reception area, I was concerned. The area was dirty and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Walking from the reception area to my room, I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. I encountered several people walking large dogs, including Pit Bulls, and the walkways were filthy, with noticeable odors of animal urine and feces. The condition of the property itself was equally alarming. The wooden stairs leading to my room were cracked, wobbly, and felt unstable underfoot. This appeared to be a serious safety concern. When I opened the door to my room, I was immediately overwhelmed by a powerful odor that smelled like a combination of cigarette smoke and animals. The condition of the room was completely unacceptable. The kitchen cabinets were broken, cracked, chipped, and discolored. The mattress was not properly positioned on the bed frame. The carpet was severely stained with what appeared to be blood, urine, and other unidentified substances. The bathroom was dirty, and I observed several dark spots around the bathtub that appeared to be mold. I did not stay in the room. I immediately returned to the front desk, returned my key, and requested a full refund. Based on what I personally observed, I believe this property warrants an immediate inspection for health, safety, sanitation, and maintenance issues. I was particularly concerned about the deteriorating stairs and the overall condition of the premises. I strongly encourage upper management to make an unannounced visit to this property and personally inspect the rooms, common areas, walkways, staircases, and parking lot. No guest should be expected to accept accommodations in this condition. Everything! See notes above
