The hotel was close to central Madrid, making it easy to get anywhere. The voices from the neighboring room made it hard to relax at night.

The metro is close, about a 5‑minute walk, and the city center is just 3‑4 stops away, making it very convenient. Overall, it was clean. However, the place is essentially a basement. There’s a tiny window in the room against the wall where people walk by. Because it’s a basement, the humidity is awful, you can’t breathe, and the air‑conditioning units in the room don’t help much; after the first night the unit stopped working. The room is tiny and underground, giving the feeling of living in a storage closet. A major drawback is the unsafe street/quarter. While the neighborhood is generally okay, some streets or blocks are unsafe. The entrance is in a very budget building that apparently houses Latin Americans, and the entrance is tucked in a corner deep in the yard—at night it was scary to return home. If you’re a woman traveling alone, I definitely don’t recommend staying here. In the evenings Latin American groups gather in the yard and sit on the way to the entrance. I was even shouted at. A quick search of the address online shows that in 2024 there was a knife attack on a person on that street, and it says the area is partially under the control of a Latin American gang. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe, so after the first night I left. My booking was for 4 nights.

The cleaning was excellent. The main entrance lock was problematic.

The location was good, the bed was very comfortable, quiet, and there was a washing machine. The bathroom was always dirty, and our room had a strong cigarette smell that never went away. We thought there were coffee capsules, but the machine was empty.
