When I arrived, someone asked if I wanted something to eat or if I was hungry, which surprised me pleasantly. The breakfast was tasty and varied, and the room was comfortable and quiet. However, my earlier email was ignored, and when I raised the issue at reception in person, they didn’t really address it.

“Magnifique”

The staff were generally friendly – reception, housekeepers did an amazing job, and the restaurant always welcomed us with little touches. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel’s outdoor areas are beautiful. The only downside was the lack of sound isolation in the rooms, especially from corridor noise.

“Gute Lage, aber enttäuschende Gastronomie und schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.”

The hotel’s location is great with quick access to the sea. Our room was nicely furnished and cleaned regularly and thoroughly. Most of the staff were friendly, and the hotel manager was especially proactive, checking on us often and trying hard to solve our problems. Unfortunately, we had several disappointments during our stay, mainly with the food. Twice we noticed a fishy smell on clean plates, and the first time the fruit had that odor too, even though we had already eaten it. Both the restaurant manager and the hotel manager confirmed the smell. The bread was consistently extremely dry and hard, even at the à‑la‑carte restaurant. Both visits there were disappointing: for instance, we were served a pizza with partially raw dough. Other guests also left their food untouched. We cannot recommend that restaurant. Our room was generally nice and clean, but we first received torn bathrobes. The replacements were both XL and smelled strongly of chemicals. A broken bathroom light was never fixed, and later the air‑conditioning failed. At the beach, there were too few free loungers because many were reserved with towels in the morning and remained unused all day; the staff did nothing about it. We also found trash on the beach multiple times. Most disappointing was that, despite an initial promise, we never received written confirmation of the incident with the plates; the hotel manager said the owners forbade him from doing so. We want to specifically praise the hotel manager, who was very engaged, took our complaints seriously, and worked hard for solutions. As a gesture, we received a massage voucher, but the treatment also did not meet our expectations. The manager explained that, given the price‑performance ratio, we shouldn’t have too high expectations, which was surprising for a five‑star hotel. The hotel has a very good location, nice rooms, and potential, but overall the price‑performance ratio did not satisfy us.

“Overall we really enjoyed our stay.”

We spent eight nights, checking in after 22 pm, and even though dinner service had ended we still got a meal, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and bright, offering a lovely view of the pool and ocean, just a one‑minute walk away. The food, especially dinner, was very good with a wide variety of dishes.
