The place was spotless, smelled fresh, and the lobby felt welcoming. Luggage storage was convenient, and the bed and room were very comfortable. I wished there was a refrigerator, and the stairs to our second‑floor room were difficult to manage.

Most staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely, and we were pleasantly surprised by a great view of the Eiffel Tower from the window. Breakfast was excellent, with very attentive waitstaff, and the fabulous restaurant Les Parisiens around the corner was a hit on several visits.

The hotel sits in a quiet, safe part of Paris, within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, and the lively pedestrian street Rue Cler with its many small restaurants and food stores. The room was beautifully sound‑proofed. Breakfast, which isn’t included in the room price, was adequate; flaky croissants were the highlight, and the dining space felt open. This wasn’t my first visit to Paris, and I and my husband have stayed in a range of accommodations from luxury to simple hotels. We booked a superior room for 3 nights, but it was disappointing. The photos showed at least one easy chair in this type of room, yet the configuration had a long entrance hallway, a desk and desk chair, and no place for a second person to sit except on the bed, even though we booked for two. There was a coffee/tea setup, but tea bags weren’t replaced during our stay. Note that, aside from a few tiny soaps, there were no other bath products like skin softener, shampoo, or toothpaste provided. The carpeting looked like it needed a thorough shampoo. One concierge at the check‑in desk was kind and welcoming; another was gruff and solemn.
