They said there was a private bathroom but there wasn’t one at all! We had to share a communal bathroom, which was outdoors, and the water was extremely small and very, very cold, so the value for money was low.

The chef’s cooking at the restaurant was truly impressive. No complaints.

I stayed without meals, but the izakaya on the first floor let me enjoy a full dinner without a reservation. The squid sashimi was amazing—its translucent sweetness and firm bite were unforgettable. Kami-san and I ordered a small drink each, and I regret not ordering two in one go. Still, the other dishes were delicious and I left very satisfied, especially the deep-fried shumai that was superb. The facility was great, yet I was disappointed that there were no nearby liquor stores for a quick drink; the only convenience store selling beer closed in the evening. The izakaya had plenty of drinks, but if you want to grab something for the room, it’s best to buy it first and come back.

The first floor had a restaurant, so I could eat dinner without leaving the building, and it was tasty. The bath was spacious and let me relax fully. The place was quiet and I could take my time. It’s right next to the Yonaguni morning market, which I think is a great location. There’s a 500‑yen parking spot directly opposite the inn. However, the bath area was all outside—tub, changing room, and washbasin—so it was cold. Because it’s a traditional house, the stairs were steep and moving a suitcase was tough. The sliding door at the room entrance was slippery and rattled, making it hard to open and close.

It was close to the Yonaguni morning market and convenient. The dinner was also tasty. It felt a bit quirky.
