“They killed puppies in the morning”
At first everything was great: the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they fed us, checked us in, and even gave us a horseshoe for luck. They explained how to reach the waterfall. There were small puppies running around nearby, and we played with them. But at about 8 a.m., we were woken by banging and puppies whimpering. I ran outside and saw the staff kill one of the puppies, while another ran away with its tail covered in blood. When I quietly asked what was happening, the staff said, “They’re a nuisance—they poop everywhere, bark…” We could no longer stay there and left quickly. It is horrifying that animals can be treated this way.
