The beach and restaurant were lovely, and a particular man who checked us in—who had also worked in the restaurant—was brilliant and went out of his way to make my daughters’ and my stay great. The rooms were worn, but the price was very cheap, so you get what you pay for, and I still left happy.

The spot is close to the beach and easy to reach from the old town and airport via public transport, but the room décor was shabby, the bathroom was in desperate need of renovation, and the nightly parties were huge, going until 3 a.m. even in early October.
