We could experience a dreamlike detachment from the world, wrapped in the Himalayas; however, from a Korean safety perspective, staying here might be difficult.

If you go to Kasol and skip Parvatis Lap, you’re missing out – it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at, perched at the hilltop about a 30‑minute hike from Lapas village, perfect for off‑the‑beaten‑track seekers. The surroundings are stunning, the vibe is great thanks to staff Angad, Manu, Ajay, Ravi and others who are warm and welcoming, making it more than just a hostel. The food is amazing, especially given the remoteness. I stayed three nights and wished I could stay longer! For hikers, there’s a fantastic day hike straight from the hostel to Sargi Top, which was gorgeous and almost empty, so you get all the views for yourself – ask Ravi for a guide. Nothing negative; this place is literally perfect.
