A great little apartment on the second floor. The hall and kitchen are one room. The bathroom is cleverly placed between the rooms, creating a passage. We joked about what would happen if two people ran into the shower from opposite sides, or somewhere else 😂… The nearest shore is a beautiful cove with boats, and you can walk to Secret Beach. Mirissa Beach is also close, if you follow the map instead of the GPS that leads around to the main entrance. The host is a sweet person! It was very pleasant to talk with him, although there was clearly a language barrier. I asked about a fridge in the apartment because I didn’t understand the stay conditions. There was no reply, and when we arrived there was no fridge. We quickly started cooking a mix of all our foods. We went to the beach. We came back… and right in front of the apartment entrance (which is on the second floor 😁) there’s a brand‑new packed fridge! Huge! That really surprised us! For me the apartment is a bit small for long‑term stay, but the price‑quality ratio is simply excellent, and staying for a week to explore Mirissa is great! I recommend it—you’ll stay with a good, decent person. The location is good. Cleanliness is average, normal for Sri Lanka.
The only noticeable issue is that a device nearby constantly emits automatic speech (maybe a security alarm or something else) and says phrases loudly. Minor things missing: power strips for sockets, a pan, forks, teaspoons, and something like deep plates on the kitchen.
