How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The old building is beautiful, the room is spacious with a lovely bed and nice space, but it’s a bit dusty (that antique cabinet with glass shelves) and the TV was broken, though the issue was fixed quickly and the service was good.

This was my fourth stay at this hotel; the staff are very pleasant and helpful, the hotel is in the city centre and within walking distance of the train.

Great staff and great location.

The staff were lovely, super friendly and helped with our last‑minute late check‑in request, and the bed was so comfy. There was no air‑con, but the staff loaned us a room device for the stay. The price was very high for just a room – it was a large room with a beamed ceiling and king‑size bed but the rest of the facilities were basic, and there was no breakfast, but that’s what you pay for in the Utrecht area in August.

Please read all the reviews – this place is not a hotel, it’s more of a grim inn above a noisy restaurant/bar and the photos are very misleading. We stayed for about 20 minutes after paying before deciding to leave and forgo the very high booking cost. The room was dirty and smelly, we were led from the restaurant through a grim backyard/storage area that reeked and was full of flies, then up some dingy stairs to an apartment. The apartment also smelled despite being “air‑out” and the bathroom looked mouldy. The person showing us the room seemed anxious and kept mentioning the fire alarms going off and doors locking. We left quickly because the neighbours were shouting and banging doors and we felt uncomfortable. After leaving, I asked for a refund (having not touched anything and only having arrived 20 minutes prior) and my partner and I were aggressively accused of having “mental issues”. It was a very upsetting experience and we’re lucky we found another place on short notice. This is not a queer‑friendly place and the images and information are wildly misleading.
