I’m happy to say the hotel is only a 15‑minute walk from the airport. However, the hot water never reached all four of us, and the bathroom had terribly slippery steps.

Walking to the airport takes about 15 minutes, which is convenient. The door was a real pain to open, and the surrounding area didn’t feel great.

It was decent: clean and the air‑conditioning worked well. Getting there from the airport on foot was trickier than we thought because there’s no sidewalk. A taxi driver tried to charge us 25 EUR in cash for a 1 km drive, was rude, and we ended up walking instead.

The hotel sits right next to the airport and offers paid transfers at any time. My room was on the ground floor and there was free parking. The building is very old, so the lights went out several times at night—not the manager’s fault, but the air‑conditioner would jam. The Etna volcano was erupting and you could feel the building shaking. There was no power outlet next to each bed, which is a basic necessity when you’re heading to the airport.
