The location was fine, but they charged me a $150 pet fee for one night, a fee that applies for one or 20 days, which was terrible value, and the room had all kinds of carpet problems; I recorded a video to prove the dog didn’t cause it.

When I arrived with a colleague who hadn’t booked through this platform, the front desk couldn’t find her reservation even though she had confirmed it on the hotel’s official website with a number and an official email; the man at the desk never accepted responsibility, just said the reservation didn’t exist, and when we asked to book for her that day and three more nights he made us wait because there were three people in line. He told us to line up again, and ten minutes later, after a 12‑hour flight and after three other guests, he finally attended us. He offered only two nights for my colleague, but I insisted and he eventually gave us three nights. The next morning a very kind woman at reception listened to us again, found a solution, and added a fourth night. The hotel has no breakfast or any place to eat, and the air conditioning was hot and didn’t work, so it was 12°C in WDC last weekend. I would not return or recommend this hotel.

The location was great, but unlike the Marriott hotels I've stayed at before, this place didn't offer free bottled water; you have to buy it and it's pricey. I was otherwise pleased, although the air‑conditioning failed to provide hot air, so it felt chilly at night when the weather was cool.

The hotel sits in a convenient spot near the metro with a handful of shops and eateries, and a 20‑minute walk to the waterfront. The beds were spacious, the TV and lift were functional, and the staff were as helpful as you’d expect. However, the property clearly needs a makeover: rooms looked worn, the door was hard to shut, the carpet was worn out, and the windows wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of plane noise. Blinds were stiff to pull, the bathroom was outdated and lacked expected amenities, and there was confusion at check‑in because of system conflicts. A morning at 6 am was punctuated by music outside, and the open windows made it hard to sleep.
