“Transitional Japanese vibe”
The house has a very unique Japanese style and the experience was cool; the host offered a flowing noodle experience that was super fun. It does have an old‑house smell.

Staying amid Hokkaido’s wild scenery inside a renovated old house offered lots of clever touches, and the Goemon‑style bath was a rare treat; the dog run let the pups roam freely. The restroom is outdated and needs clear instructions, plus there was an unpleasant smell.

It felt like a farm‑house getaway where we could use the whole ground floor – kitchen, bathroom, living room and two bedrooms – which was great. Just remember it isn’t a city hotel, so knowing its character beforehand is important.

The location is unbeatable with sweeping views right outside the door, and the on‑site dog run makes it perfect for guests with pets. The building shows its age, so it may not suit those who mind older structures, but if you feel like you’re back at your family home it works well.

I absolutely loved it! The house was original and super cozy, and I couldn't find any negatives.
