The house and garden are pretty fun – the people are super friendly and involved, the garden is huge with a nice pool and terrace, the mattresses are good and the showers are nice; it’s a bit far from the city center in a pristine setting, but if you arrange the taxi, including the return, it works out fine.

The location was truly beautiful, the room was clean and tidy, and the garden and pool looked dreamy, showing how much effort went into this passion project; the shared kitchen is spotless and fully equipped for cooking; if you ask for breakfast in the morning, you really have to request Fatima’s omelet (one of the staff), because I haven’t had such a good omelet in a long time.

The host was friendly and helped with everything we asked for, even arranging transport to Bilene; we requested a specific breakfast setup and they delivered, and the staff were very friendly—one housekeeping lady could speak isiXhosa/Setswana, which was a bonus since some staff didn’t speak English at all.

The pool and garden view were breathtaking and the kids loved the stay; the location of the facility is an issue, but I talked with the owners who are willing and open to making the place more accessible and visible for visitors.
