I’ve checked into a lot of hotels in Patong, and they usually have minor glitches, but Svah nailed it. The staff are super cheerful, incredibly helpful, and just great. The rooms feel very comfortable and the rates are solid. The hotel sits in a quiet part of Patong, which is rare—a calm spot still close to the beach and other cool attractions. Honestly, Svah tops every other place I’ve stayed in Patong. I’d give the staff 10/10 and the hotel 10/10.

The price was good, but the room was bigger than advertised and the bathrooms never had soap or other amenities.

Even though I shared the room with many people, the “capsule” where I slept smelled great, but the room itself depended on who was in it, which wasn’t always a pleasant smell. The exit is through an alleyway with a pile of trash from restaurants across the street; the smell outside/at the hostel entrance is awful.
