The owners were very friendly, accommodating and responsive; I got a very late checkout because of a flight change at no extra cost, something I’d never experienced before and really appreciated – overall a very pleasant experience, though a bit dark and damp-smelling.

Comfy Stay was fantastic for us because it’s near groceries, restaurants, and not far from the hospital where we were visiting my mother during her heart‑surgery recovery; truly the best beds among all the hotels we stayed at on this trip.

The place is super comfy and right next to everything—just a 7‑minute drive to most of Halifax’s key spots. We had a microwave, toaster oven, full‑size kettle, fridge, and a single portable burner, all handy for us. The basement unit was surprisingly clean, bright, and cozy, thanks to the big windows. The neighborhood is a pleasant residential walk, with tidy streets, neat trees, and lovely houses, and even though it sits between two main roads, it stayed beautifully quiet. Yi, the host, was friendly and very helpful. We’d definitely return and suggest it to others, though the only drawback was the occasional basement bugs.

It was a great place to stay, close to town and in a quiet neighborhood. The bed was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was full-sized, and the small tea room was lovely. The owner was very friendly, and I’d stay here again. It would have been nicer if a pod coffee maker was available in the tea room for easier morning coffee.
