The place was a gorgeous spot to unwind. Kiko guided us around the property, shared the house’s history, and it was great to explore all the areas and chat. The vibe was really good and the space was calm and relaxing, especially with the city center so close. Being near the bus station made catching an early morning bus a breeze.

The shower was spacious, the location central, and the kitchen well equipped. The garden is large and well maintained, and the Wi‑Fi is excellent for remote work. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The pillows were only one centimetre high and the bed was uncomfortable; adding a bin in the rooms would be useful.

Amaruka is the kind of hostel that picks you, not the other way around. The rustic wooden entrance feels like a quiet promise that there might not be many amenities, yet what you get is the essentials done right—José and Michelle are the heartbeat, offering calm, attentive care that feels like a warm blanket before you even ask for anything.
