How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The room was surprisingly spacious, which was a nice surprise, but the hot water never really warmed up, making showers a bit frustrating. Breakfast was just okay and could have been better. Because the hotel sits way up on the mountain, arriving late means you’re on your own with luggage.

Virginia was genuinely friendly and went out of her way to help, and the inn’s spot near restaurants made it easy to get around the south side of the island, plus the view was fantastic. Unfortunately the electric shower sputtered with low pressure and the breakfast was just a slice of bread with eggs and a sweet cream, so I had to buy my own food each morning. When Virginia was busy I sometimes felt stuck without anyone to answer my questions, though she’s clearly a hard‑working person.

The scenery from the room was amazing – quiet and a stunning night sky – but the room itself felt pretty bare, missing bedside tables and a lamp. The huge terrace had no chairs or table, so we couldn’t really use it, and the staff didn’t make us feel welcome.

There was no warm water from the shower, and the Wi‑Fi never connected. On the south side of the island the mobile signal was also pretty weak, which made it hard to stay in touch.

The bathroom only had water running intermittently, so we often had to wait for it to come back. That made getting ready each morning a bit of a hassle.
