“Very comfortable stay and interesting, friendly hostess. HIghly recommended!”
What mattered most was the hostess, Gigi, who is lovely, friendly, and helpful. She welcomed us warmly, made us feel at home, and answered all our questions about Exeter. She’s lovingly decorated this historic home to feel cozy for guests. Our room came with local travel guides, pretty mugs, coffee/tea supplies, a small fan, and fresh milk in the mini‑fridge. The breakfast was impressive; though not hot, it offered a wide range of options from hard‑boiled eggs to various fruits, cereals, toast, pastries, juice, coffee, and tea. The only downside is that it’s a bit of a walk from the bus or train stations. We enjoyed strolling through the university district with its many students, and once on West Ave it was incredibly quiet and residential.
