Guest rooms offer sleek décor, flat‑screen TVs, free Wi‑Fi, and spacious marble bathrooms with hairdryers. The rooms and the property are spacious, and the breakfast was decent, but the reception offered minimal customer service; I had to call them for basic requests. The spa and pool were only open from 3 pm to 10 pm, so on both days we were out and couldn’t use them, which was very disappointing since we stayed mainly for those facilities.

The hotel sits a bit farther from Kastoria’s center but offers good parking. It feels dated, yet the rooms and bathrooms are very roomy, the shower works well, and breakfast is great; we also had dinner at the hotel, which was good. Inside the building is somewhat dark and not modern, and the bathroom latch broke during our stay, but it’s still a solid choice for a one‑night stay, fit for purpose and good value for money.

Esperos Palace feels truly majestic: the foyer, dining rooms, bars, spa, and pool all sit comfortably alongside the upscale, grand atmosphere, clearly showing the care and expense invested. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, and breakfast was a real highlight—generous, well presented, and full of traditional dishes that made it worth lingering over each morning. Kastoria is beautiful and Esperos Palace is a lovely base to enjoy it. We’d happily return. The gym was great for aerobic workouts, but a wider range of free weights would round it out for strength training. Minor issues: the room water wasn’t topped up during our stay, and while hand and bath towels were provided, face towels were missing—none of that spoiled the overall enjoyment.
