“It is what it is…”
I was close to the conference venue and the bed was comfy, but the tiny parking lot, the stale room and elevator odors, the paper‑thin walls, the noisy guests in the hallways, the weed smell from a neighboring room that seeped into mine, and the fact that I had to pay a ridiculous fee for parking at both the hotel and the conference, walk a mile and a half, or take the KC Ride with the morning and evening homeless crowd to escape the heat all made the stay frustrating.
