A genuinely nice hotel in a prime spot yet surprisingly quiet. The zoo on the opposite street is a highlight, and the surroundings are so green despite being close to the train station. Every morning the breakfast amazed me with so many different specialties, all beautifully presented – I’ll definitely come back soon!

Self‑check‑in worked smoothly. On a rainy day I received a loan umbrella. Snacks are available for free throughout the day.
The breakfast was nice. The room was a decent size and clean. We arrived late in the afternoon and had to do self‑check‑in. The method was easy, but if you have any questions or problems there is nobody to ask.
Great location near the main train station and the zoo. The room was very nice and spacious. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We had to leave before 7 am on Saturday and could prepare a lunch pack because it was too early for breakfast. Free drinks in the minibar and small extras like sandwich rolls and cake were always offered in the dining room, which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely stay at Hotel Avisa again when we’re in Karlsruhe. No negatives 😃
