“Amazing!”
This auberge is great! The decor is amazing and the food is outstanding. They even have a resident turtle. Sebastien was extremely helpful with tips on how to get cabs and more.

The place was very well located and, for the price, it was well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and the reception was open 24 hours. The atmosphere was calm and good for meeting people. The hostel suffered frequent power cuts, which I understand is due to the country’s precarious situation. Our biggest issue was with the staff, who generally showed little interest in helping us. One room had no air conditioning, and a friend stayed there; when he asked for a change or repair, he was refunded and told to leave. We were moved to another room overnight for reasons we don’t know.

Sébastien’s travel tips, the charm of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, and the convenience of meeting other travelers in a central city location all provide good value for the price. It’s a hostel, so don’t expect a 4‑star experience, and that matches its price category. The rooms were hot, but we were there in full summer, so nothing surprising.

It was an experience and great for meeting fellow travelers; I loved the dog! The owner made fun of where I was from in an unfriendly way—maybe it’s a French thing, haha.
