How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
Seeing Mount Fuji at night and early in the morning makes every penny worth it. The village is amazing, the trail is nice, close to beautiful spots, and the accommodation is incredible. I don’t speak Japanese and the stay was short, but I’ll plan it better next time.

The setting in nature is beautiful, the window view of Mount Fuji is great. The house is cluttered, the location felt less ideal, hygiene could be better, and being alone in the whole house made me a bit anxious.

The accommodation was filthy. The supposedly private ensuite bathroom turned out to be shared with the owner and other guests, and a sign on the door warned of the "normal" presence of insects. The kitchen was also very dirty. The triple deluxe room was unclean too, with stains and hair in the beds, grease marks on furniture and the ceiling, and exposed electrical cords hanging from the walls. Renting a room in such a condition at that price is outrageous—avoid it!

The location was great and the bed was comfortable, so overall it was a decent experience. However, they didn't actually have the hot water sauna that was listed in the facilities, which was disappointing.
