The hotel’s location and the staff’s cheerful attitude were great. However, the room price doesn’t include basic items like a travel kit, a morning kit (brush & toothpaste), or slippers, which are essential for that rate.

The Pearl Tree truly lives up to the “resort” label. I would come back immediately. Everything was fantastic, and I felt both welcomed and special.

There is no glass door in the shower area, so every time I shower the whole bathroom floods. I almost slipped a few times.

Breakfast was problematic: they struggled to bring me a pot of tea with a jug of cold milk on the side. The hotel’s website, restaurant, and bar information for Purulia fail to mention that the rooftop is closed. That rooftop is the main public space—large, clean, airy, with a good bar and food menu. Instead, the bar room is dark, depressing, with very loud music, and the terrace outside is carpeted with cigarette butts. Revolting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, both at the reception, the restaurant, the bar, and the cleaning crew. The size of the pool was a drawback.
