The setting is beautiful, but it was disappointing that it rained the whole weekend – I would have preferred sunny days. The dinner service fell short: we were only four, yet we waited an hour and a half for our meals, and the staff said they had to prepare mashed potatoes from scratch; we received only one steak, one pork chop, a pasta dish, and vegetables – that was unacceptable!

The hotel was adequate for a one‑night stay but feels a bit worn and could use a refresh. The electric blanket on the bed didn’t work, which was disappointing in the cold. The staff and food were both excellent, and we appreciated being allowed to park closer than usual because of my physical limitations.
