“Making meals would be more enjoyable if the kitchen was better equipped. we were reasonably comfortable and warm and ho”
The room had a private bath and kitchen, but I didn’t feel it was worth the price, especially compared to the three other Icelandic spots we booked. Our “Franzy House” assignment looked less appealing than the other cottages on the property, both in age and construction.
“Würden nicht wiederkommen”
The cabin wasn’t clean and the gear was awful—cushions smelled stale, dishes were dirty. We arrived at 2 °C late at night and had to crank up the rusty heater. Sleep was terrible; the duvets were just a single bag. It was the cheapest of the cheapest, and knowing the huts sit on a farm, the farmer’s tractors and such start early, which was unsettling. We didn’t feel comfortable and the price didn’t match the quality.
“Super cabin on beautiful large farm.”
The cabin was very nice, cozy, and fully equipped with a kitchenette. The location on a large farm was beautiful, surrounded by many friendly animals. It’s close to Seljafoss and the ferry port to Heimaey island. The reservation and check‑in were efficient and correct. The only downside is that you never meet any of the hosts on the farm.
“incubo”
The place was supposed to be a wooden cabin, yet we ended up in a grimy container with crumpled shower mats.
The stay turned out to be the best one we’ve had in Iceland; we kept wishing we could add another night. The cottage was very cosy and incredibly quiet, and I appreciated that there was a kitchen available.
