The waterfront offers lovely views, but there was no staff after 5 pm, though they gave good directions to the room. Only one staff member was ever seen at breakfast, and the coffee was scarce.

The location is great, the room is clean and tidy, and the staff are polite and helpful. Unfortunately we had noisy people above us, which isn’t the hotel’s fault; the view from our window was blocked by a fence, so more hanging baskets would be nice, and we had a person walk by that seemed to lead to nothing and was a skinny walk‑by.

The room was a good size with a comfortable king‑size bed, the view across the Solent was stunning, and the location is quiet in an attractive beach‑side area.

The view was amazing and the hotel is only 2 miles from Cowes town centre; it clearly had been repainted and the bathrooms re‑tilled since the takeover. The hand sanitiser in the hall was empty, and the TV data quality was not great.

The spot is right on the sea front with plenty of parking and a solid breakfast, and the rooms are clean with comfy beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The downside is that the bedroom had no view because it faces the rear, the carpets were worn out, and the lights were dim, making the room feel a bit dingy. The hotel could use a revamp.
