We liked the location, the welcome, and being in a typical house. Parking was easy. The only drawback is that if you want to cook, there’s no kitchenette, or at least no access to a kitchen.
“Surcoté”
Close to our sightseeing sites. Room quality is good. The owner is friendly. The listing is fairly ambiguous about the fact that we’re renting rooms, not a full accommodation. Other tenants are present… Photos show the house, but the accommodation is in the basement. Breakfast is really minimal.
The apartment’s spaciousness, the terrace, and the owner’s availability were impressive, and the simple French breakfast was just enough for us.

“Gite du Lac: misleidend”
De kamer was netjes. Eigenaar was niet aanwezig toen wij wilden inchecken. Gebeld en met hulp van een andere gast de kamer gevonden in het souterrain. Als je een Gite boekt verwacht je toch echt iets anders. Daar verbleven ook 4 Fransen die in de overige 2 kamers verbleven. Zij waren ook verrast. Met 6 mensen een kleine badkamer delen. Keuken zonder aanrecht. Ontbijt: er lag een brood en een pak croissants. Wat zoet beleg, wat fruit en nog wat aanvullend ontbijt spul. Uitzicht op het meer? Vergeet t maar. Wij zijn naar het meer gewandeld dat zeker 300 meter verderop ligt. We hebben er 1 nacht geslapen en zijn vertrokken. Motel in Roberval geboekt. Enorme tegenvaller. No value for money
