How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was excellent, the staff brilliant, breakfast superb, and the evening meal lovely if you need it, all at a good price. A great place for a short break in Skegness – this was our second stay here and we’ll return next year. There was nothing to dislike.

We booked an overnight stay at Clumber House because we were heading to a show at the Embassy Theatre. The owner and his son welcomed us warmly and checked us in quickly. The atmosphere felt very friendly and homely. Our room was spotless and had a very good en‑suite. The bed was very comfortable and the fridge was a useful asset, along with plenty of tea, coffee and milk. In the morning we were treated to a delicious full English breakfast with plenty of toast, tea or coffee, cereals, fruit and yoghurts if desired. This is a very friendly family‑run hotel. It’s not far from Skegness centre and is very reasonably priced for the excellent service we received – so good that we’ve already booked to return in November for another show at the Embassy Theatre. There was nothing that could have made this a better night.

Breakfast was superb and the location was perfect for my needs. Nothing to complain about.

The location and the hosts’ friendliness were great, the food was excellent, and it was nice to be offered a three‑course meal in the evening. The room was a lovely size and having a fridge in it was convenient. I appreciated that we were left to enjoy our holiday and that anyone we asked for anything was answered daily. I’ll definitely go again – we had a great holiday. The only thing I didn’t like was the bed and pillows – they were very hard, but my husband slept like a baby.

The food was great and the room was fine. One staff member ignored us and made it clear we were not welcome, which shocked me because we had enjoyed all our previous stays and had always seen the staff as friends. I don’t know why the attitude changed. I’m sure the lady will be delighted to see us leave, but my wife found the ignoring very upsetting. We have already booked elsewhere for next year.
