The buffet breakfast had a lot of options, which was good. The hotel is far from the city center and feels old, so the price seems high.

Nothing special to highlight. The facilities are outdated and need renovation; the good location justifies the cost, but it’s losing guests. TV doesn’t receive BS signals, there’s no large bath, no coffee service, and breakfast costs 1800 yen, which is too much. The lighting fixtures are too old, and the exposed cable wiring is concerning.

This was my third stay. The building feels old but clean, and the staff were courteous. The bed slept well. Breakfast offered unique items like mackerel sashimi with tea soup and DIY sandwiches. The kids enjoyed ice cream and soft serve from the start of the day. Not charging for parking is a big plus. The only downside is that it’s far from tourist spots and the entertainment district, so you need a car to get around.

The amenities were plentiful (pajamas, toothbrush set, razor, comb, body sponge, etc.), so I didn’t need to bring heavy luggage. I didn’t need the kids’ toothbrush set or shampoo hat, but they could help others. The buffet breakfast was delicious, featuring items like nodoguro (seasonal), Kanazawa oden, and other local specialties. Desserts such as fruit, cake, and gelato were also tasty. Coffee could be taken out. I didn’t use other restaurants. The shop sold instant noodles, and there’s a beverage and ice machine on the basement level. Beer machines are on each floor. The rooms were large, with separate mattress and futon, which I liked. The air conditioning was at a comfortable temperature right when I entered. I didn’t mind the old equipment. The staff were generally friendly, making the stay pleasant. The hotel is far from Kanazawa Station and the nearest bus stop (10 or 23 minutes walking). Because it sits on a hill, you have to climb a steep slope to get in, which is tough; driving is recommended. There is a shuttle bus that can be booked, but it ends at 18:00, so it’s a bit risky if you want to enjoy the city center first. The nearest stop is “Kanazawa International Hotel Front,” but depending on the time or season, even the same bus line may skip the stop, which is frustrating. Some map apps don’t show this pitfall.
