“Charming, romantic retreat”
A snug countryside cottage that balances rustic charm with modern comforts like AC and running water, yet still feels genuinely rustic. The hosts were welcoming, helpful, and friendly, and they left booklets about local history and landmarks, which was a nice touch. The salted salmon toast at the cafe was delicious. The only downsides were the small windows that made the cottage a little dark—expected in an old building—and the fact that the windows were locked, which was a bit inconvenient since we didn’t use the AC. The bed was quite soft, which could be an issue for anyone with back problems.
