The room was quiet, spacious, and offered a nice view of Norfolk; the bed was comfortable. The highlight was the Bistro on the first floor. However, the shower barely reached lukewarm and had a hint of cold water.

“Won’t be back !!”

You have to pay for parking and breakfast—about $180.00—so a normal guy can’t afford it. The location is in the hood, the lighting was terrible, and you still have to pay for parking and breakfast.

“It served its purpose for an overnight stay I will not book again here.”

The location was convenient for my needs. The shower was old‑fashioned and didn’t drain properly even when the stopper was pulled all the way up; the room had rust on the baseboards, and the area under the unit seemed to hold paper in a hole. The sink and tub were painted over and looked old. We didn’t know to pull up to the ramp to check in, so we had to lug our bags up stairs, and the ramp sign said “cars only,” which was confusing. Out of the four elevators, only one worked, which was unacceptable for a homecoming weekend. A young lady with glasses who worked on 10/9/26 after 5:00 pm didn’t review the amenities at check‑in, handed me a member bag while on her personal cell phone, didn’t point us toward the elevator, and didn’t mention breakfast, the ice machine, or anything else.

“I wouldn’t come back because the bathroom felt gross”

Check‑in was quick and the staff were pleasant. The bathroom had thick paint that seemed to be peeling from moisture or possible mold; the toilet wouldn’t flush, there was no vent for shower steam, and it felt like there was a serious moisture issue. We left instead of staying because we didn’t want to keep using that bathroom, and there was no water in the room.
