Quiet place, close to the bus terminal so you can hop off wherever you want. Shops are right around the corner, and the greenery keeps the air fresh. Everything else was just fine.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean, and there was parking right on the property. It’s near the city centre and the rooftop is a nice touch. The downside? The road noise gets through because the walls aren’t well insulated, and the pillows were way too firm and thick for us.

This hotel turned out to be a real gem – right in the middle of town and the front desk staff were two bright, friendly young women who made us feel welcome from the start. We could stroll to everything, and we used the base for day trips to Orosi, Cachí, Paraiso, the Guayabo ruins and the CATIE gardens, while enjoying a tasty breakfast and free tea/coffee in the lobby all day.
