A very friendly host waited for us at the airport. We booked a ground‑floor apartment, which was huge, with a private entrance at the back of the house and a private terrace where we ate breakfast and dinner. The place was spotless and had plenty of everything we needed. It’s close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, yet completely quiet. We highly recommend it—Pousada da Vila became our base for exploring every corner of São Miguel, and if we return to the Azores it will definitely be our first choice. The only minor downside was the creaky bed; otherwise everything was absolutely fine!

We appreciated Jeff’s welcome. The hotel is very well located. The common areas, including the room, are very pleasant and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay.

The garden and some good restaurants 5 minutes away. Shared fridge in the adjacent room. The fan noise and lack of air‑conditioning were annoying.
