Homely Hostel

The shared lounge, bathroom, and kitchen were solid—clean and functional. But the place is in a spot that’s hard to find, and the directions they give are vague. If you’re looking for convenience, you’ll need to do a bit of extra legwork.

“Value of money, meet expectations, not more than that, not less than that”

Everyone was friendly and the continental breakfast was always in stock, which is great for travelers from South Asia. The spot sits right on the route between Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, so public transport is a breeze. It’s open 24/7 and has all the basics inside the building. I thought it was a fair price, but a 10% discount would make it more appealing.

“Don’t book this hostel if you don’t want to lose your money”

I ended up paying for a place that turned out to be a scam—no street or building number, the phone number was dead, and I spent three hours chasing a wrong address. Don’t waste your money on this one.

“コスパよし”

The location is spot on; a quick bus ride from the nearest stop gets you to Dubai’s Union bus station for just 12 dirhams. You can grab a bus card and top it up at the nearby Shams Al Talal supermarket. A Pakistani neighbor even showed me how to use the washing machine, which was a lifesaver. Being in the heart of Sharjah means you’ll never have trouble finding food or currency exchange. The downside? The area is confusing—especially for first‑timers.

“I had a great stay. The owner (Ravendah) is kind and goes an extra mile to ensure your comfort”

The place is close to everything you need, which is a big plus. The only gripe is that the cleaning crew only shows up once a week; a couple of visits a week would make it feel fresher.
